The Enterprise Version
The Enterprise Version is for organizations where data must be shared between users or
groups. Figure 3 shows this version.
As the figure shows, the difference between the Enterprise Version and the other versions is the
replacement of the KeyHolder with a Key Manager.
The difference between the KeyHolder and the Key Manager is that the KeyHolder holds
encryption keys for individual users, and only individual users can access their keys. The Key
Manager, on the other hand, enables controlled sharing of keys between users. This is very
useful, for example, in a doctor’s office where a receptionist may need access to patient
information that a doctor enters.
